About Kelli Gregg Travel

Our Founders

Kelli Gregg Travel grew from R Family Vacations, founded in 2003 by travel entrepreneur Kelli Carpenter and Gregg Kaminsky. Together, they created one of the first companies dedicated to welcoming LGBTQ+ families, friends, and allies on thoughtfully planned vacations where everyone could feel included.

R Family Vacations was featured in HBO’s All Aboard!, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and received a GLAAD Media Award. Kelli and Gregg have also been recognized by Lambda Legal, Family Equality, the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, and the OUT100 for their contributions to LGBTQ+ families and travel.

Kelli Carpenter

Kelli Carpenter has always shared a love of travel and musical theater. After growing up taking annual cruises with her family, she co-founded R Family Vacations with Gregg in 2003. Her family appeared in HBO’s All Aboard!, and Kelli was nominated for an Emmy as one of the documentary’s producers.

Before entering the travel industry, Kelli built an extensive marketing career with companies including Pepsi and Nickelodeon. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and brings warmth, creativity, and a deeply personal understanding of family travel to every journey.

Gregg Kaminsky

Gregg Kaminsky has spent more than two decades creating specialty vacations throughout the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, Africa, Australia, and Europe. Before co-founding R Family Vacations, he served as Vice President of Atlantis Events, one of the world’s leading LGBTQ+ tour operators.

Gregg has also worked as a travel consultant for Nickelodeon and produced cruise charters featuring some of its best-known characters. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and his MBA from the University of Southern California.
